HISWA Tour Heesen Yachts starts on 80m drydock project

Heesen Yachts says demolition of two old production halls starts this month to make room for an 80m drydock. “Yachts are getting bigger and this is our investment in the future,” says Mark Cavendish, the yard’s sales and marketing chief.

Construction of the drydock will start June 15 and take 16 months, Cavendish said.

Separately, he announced the launch of a 50m, full-custom motoryacht. The owner has decided to keep the name of his new yacht confidential until the delivery. The yacht is a steel-hulled, full-displacement motor yacht below the 500gt threshold.  More…
